An ACCURACY JOB involves all steps needed to make the barrel return to
the same position after each shot for maximum performance and tuning to
insure reliable function.
|
- STANDARD ACCURACY JOB (no slide guide) involves fitting the slide
to the frame to eliminate all horizontal and vertical play.
- ACCURACY JOB WITH SLIDE GUIDE involves welding an extension to the
front of the dust cover. The extension has two set screws. By adjusting
the screws all horizontal and vertical movement of the slide is eliminated.
The advantage of the slide guide method is that the slide is tight in
the locked position but is free in the cycle mode. This enhances the
functioning of the slide and eliminates break in period. Stainless pistols
must use Slide Guide Method
(NOT LEGAL for Hard Ball Service Matches)
|
- Precision fit barrel hood and lugs
(If a factory barrel is used, the hood and lugs are first welded to
add fitting material)
- Fit proper length match link and barrel bushing.
- Mill frame for ramped barrel (when necessary)
- Throat and polish barrel feed ramp to insure positive
feeding
- Tune extractor and ejector
- Lower ejection port (if necessary)
- Off-Set firing pin bushing (when necessary)
- Function test for reliability
- Machine rest test for accuracy
- Test target furnished
